HFFG Hosts ASOHOM Delegation for the Launch of New Dawne’s “New2U”

Hope for Future Generations (HFFG) welcomed a delegation from the Association of Spouses of Heads of Missions (ASOHOM) to its premises for the official commissioning of the “New2U”  Store, a social enterprise established under the New Dawne programme to support vulnerable women through sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The New2U  Store, located at the HFFG premises, was made possible through financial support from ASOHOM, whose members include the spouses of ambassadors, high commissioners, and heads of international organizations accredited to Ghana. The association selected New Dawne as one of its beneficiary organizations in 2025 following a competitive selection process aimed at supporting impactful community development initiatives.

The delegation visited HFFG to witness firsthand the successful implementation of the project and participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the store. During the visit, members engaged with beneficiaries of the New Dawne programme and learned about the positive impact the initiative is having on the lives of women seeking economic empowerment and a fresh start.

Speaking at the event, representatives of ASOHOM expressed their satisfaction with the project’s progress and commended New Dawne and HFFG for transforming the vision into reality. They noted that the New2U  Store was particularly attractive because it offers a sustainable source of income through the sale of second-hand clothing and household items, ensuring long-term benefits beyond a one-time donation.

The association also highlighted the project’s contribution to women’s empowerment by providing opportunities for vulnerable women to acquire skills, earn an income, and support their families through dignified and productive work.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of New Dawne, HFFG expressed profound appreciation to ASOHOM for its generous support and confidence in the programme. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to creating sustainable interventions that improve the lives of women and girls while strengthening community resilience.

The commissioning of the New2U Store marks an important milestone for the New Dawne programme and demonstrates the power of partnerships in advancing social inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.

As the store begins operations from the HFFG premises, it is expected to provide affordable products to the community while generating revenue to support New Dawne’s ongoing efforts to empower vulnerable women and promote lasting social change.
