HFFG Acknowledged as Changemaker in the Fight Against Gender-Based Violence

The HFFG team in Ahafo Region led by the Project Coordinator, Mrs. Rose Amoyaw Baalaboore have been honoured by the the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) for their for their hard work and commitment towards contributing to efforts towards eliminating gender-based violence in the Ahafo region. Mrs. Rose Amoyaw Baalaboore was awarded alongside 14 other changemakers across Ghana.

The award ceremony took place in Accra on 6th December, 2022 as part of activities to commemorate the UN 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.

The ceremony was graced by Ms. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, the Honourable Minister Designate for MoGCSP, Dr. Afisah Zakariah, the Chief Director, MoGCSP, Mr. Charles Abani, the UN Resident Coordinator, and Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner to Ghana.

There were other dignitaries and representatives from Oxfam, UNDP, IOM, WHO, UNICEF, DoVVSU, WFP and many more.

The theme for the occasion was “Unite! Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls”
