About HFFG:

Hope for Future Generations (HFFG) is a community development, children and women-focused, non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Accra, Ghana. We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Media, Communication and Public Relations Officer to lead and coordinate the organization’s communication, branding, and media strategies.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing HFFG’s visibility, brand identity, and stakeholder engagement through compelling and consistent messaging across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication and branding Strategy Implementation:
  • Use innovative strategies to implement the communication and branding framework aligned with HFFG’s mission and objectives.
  • Coordinate communication, branding and media relations efforts within the organisation to ensure consistency and maintain HFFG’s brand and impact.
  • Branding and Visibility:
  • Strengthen HFFG’s brand identity to reflect organizational goals.
  • Enhance national and international visibility through strategic media engagements and content.
  • Media & Public Relations:
  • Serve as a media liaison, managing press relations, interviews, and press releases.
  • Promote HFFG’s achievements through targeted media campaigns and storytelling.
  • Content & Material Development:
  • Oversee the creation and design of communication and branding materials, including brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and promotional content using organisational data and beneficiary lived stories.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing through well-packaged information products.
  • Digital Presence Management:
  • Coordinate the redesign and maintenance of HFFG’s website and social media platforms.
  • Regularly develop our social media and website messages before posting
  • Work with Management and project leads the develop HFFG’s yearly calendar
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop messaging to effectively engage donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the public.
  • Support event planning and media coverage of campaigns, press releases, projects, publishing features about our work and advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, photography or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in communications, media relations, or public affairs—preferably in an NGO or development sector.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communications tools and strategies.
  • Experience with graphic design, multimedia content creation, and social media management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication plans.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web analytics is an added advantage.
