About HFFG:

Hope for Future Generations (HFFG) is a community development, children and women-focused, non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Accra, Ghana. We are implementing the Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) component of the Global Fund GC7 grant, which aims to prevent new HIV infections among AGYW aged 15-24. The project is implemented through the Ministry of Health as the Principal Recipient in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service and other key stakeholders.

As part of this initiative, HFFG seeks to strengthen advocacy and community engagement through the development of gender and human rights messages/toolkit that are context-specific, youth-friendly, and aligned with national communication strategies/guidelines for young people.

Project Objectives
The overall goal of the project is to prevent new HIV infections among AGYW.

Specific Objectives:

  1. To reduce stigma and discrimination against AGYW in the 7 intervention districts by 31st December 2026.
  2. Increase access to comprehensive prevention, care, and treatment services across the HIV care cascade among AGYW in the 7 intervention districts by 31st December 2026.
  3. Increase and sustain demand for comprehensive prevention, care, and treatment services among AGYW in the 7 intervention districts by 31st December 2026.
  4. Strengthen linkages to and retention in care for 50 HIV positive AGYW in the 7 intervention districts by 31st December 2026.

Objective of the Assignment:
To finalize draft gender and human rights messages (social media toolkit) for AGYW aged 15-24, ensuring they are evidence-based, age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and promote empowerment, equality, and inclusion for the target audience.

Scope of Work:
The consultant will be expected to:

  • Review existing draft messages and related materials.
  • Refine and validate messages to reflect gender and human rights principles relevant to AGYW in Ghana.
  • Develop reels, videos, posters, infographics and flyers with the messages
  • Ensure alignment with national HIV/SRHR communication and advocacy frameworks.
  • Engage with the project team and key stakeholders to incorporate feedback.
  • Produce a final ready-to-use set of messages and a concise implementation guidance note for dissemination.

Expected Deliverables:

  • A finalized and validated set of gender and human rights messages, including reels, videos, infographics and flyers (Social media Toolkit) for AGYW (15-24 years).
  • A brief implementation guidance note on the use and dissemination of the messages.
  • A final report summarizing the process, inputs, and recommendations.

Duration:
The consultancy is expected to be carried out within twelve working days.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Development Communication, Public Health, Gender Studies, Human Rights, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing communication materials or advocacy messages on gender, human rights, or SRHR for young people.
  • Strong understanding of AGYW-focused programming and national HIV/SRHR frameworks.
  • Excellent writing and social media engagement skills.
